The 2022 Japanese Grand Prix, officially known as the Formula 1 Honda Japanese Grand Prix 2022, was a Formula One motor race held on October 9, 2022, at the Suzuka Circuit in Suzuka, Mie, Japan. It was the 18th round of the 2022 Formula One World Championship.
Race Highlights
The race was won by Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing, who started from pole position. It was his 12th victory of the season, and his first in Japan. Sergio PĂ©rez of Red Bull Racing finished second, and Charles Leclerc of Scuderia Ferrari finished third. Leclerc received a five-second time penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage, which dropped him from second to third.

The Suzuka Circuit is a 5.807 km (3.608 mi) circuit located in Suzuka, Mie, Japan. It has been used for the Japanese Grand Prix since 1987, and is known for its challenging layout, including the high-speed Esses, the Degner Curves, and the Spoon Curve.
