Critical CrowdStrike Update Causing Widespread Windows Crashes

A recently released update from cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike has caused widespread Windows outages, resulting in numerous computers displaying the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD).

Affected Systems and Recovery

The issue has affected a wide range of Windows devices, leaving users unable to boot up their computers. CrowdStrike has since acknowledged the problem and announced at 230 am ET that it has identified and rolled back the faulty update.
