Artem Chingvintsev, Husband of Nikki Garcia, Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges

Garcia Alleges Chingvintsev Choked Her

Artem Chingvintsev, the husband of "Dancing with the Stars" professional dancer, Nikki Garcia, was arrested on domestic violence charges on Tuesday, November 15, 2022.

According to a press release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Chingvintsev was arrested at the couple's home in Los Angeles after Garcia called 911 alleging that he had choked her.

Chingvintsev Released on Bond

Chingvintsev was booked into jail but was released on $50,000 bond later that day.

He is scheduled to appear in court on December 14, 2022.

Garcia Files for Divorce

In addition to the domestic violence charges, Garcia has also filed for divorce from Chingvintsev.

She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

Chingvintsev and Garcia Have Two Children Together

Chingvintsev and Garcia have two children together, a 4-year-old son and a 2-year-old daughter.

It is unclear what will happen to the children in the wake of the charges and divorce.
